OnInnovation: Visionaries thinking out loud. A video oral history project advancing a culture of innovation powered by The Henry Ford.
A visionary thinker and serial entrepreneur, Buckminster Fuller explored large-scale ideas in areas as fundamental as transportation, shelter and even the survival of humankind. While many of his projects never achieved commercial success, he inspired countless individuals to think differently and pursue their own ideas, regardless of their qualifications or credentials.
Buckminster Fuller never let anyone stop him from exploring ideas or expressing himself. Despite his many business failures and outsider status—he was expelled from Harvard twice—he could explore a concept for decades, waiting for the right time to develop it and talking about it with lots of people along the way.
